i made your shoes to be much larger than their reality
imported from the indians
safe kept, for no one else to find
the souls turned out to be hollow
they tended to the Ordinary
hollow caves i would carry on my feet

i stand for the shoes of my father
worn in, with depth
may they function as my roots, cringing to the soil of righteousness
deep soles cringing to the wear of soil
i will learn from wear
i reject sorrow's cave for they tire my feet
i drown in the shoes of my father
the oversized shoes of my father
